How to play Spider Solitaire (2 Suits)
Spider uses two decks, 104 cards, in two suits (spades and hearts). Build eight full runs from King down to Ace in one suit. Each complete run clears off the table by itself. You win when all eight are done.
- Ten columns are dealt, with only the bottom card of each face up. The other 50 cards stay in the stock.
- A card can go on any card one rank higher, in any suit: a 6 on any 7.
- Only cards of one suit in order, like 9, 8, 7 of spades, move together. A mixed stack moves one card at a time.
- Any card or run can go into an empty column.
- Choose the stock to deal one new card onto every column. You can't deal while a column is empty.
- To move a card, tap it, then tap the column it should go to.
Undo has no limit, and it can take back a deal from the stock too.
Keyboard
Arrow keys move between cards and columns. Enter or Space selects a card and places it. D deals a new row, H shows a hint, Escape cancels a selection, and Ctrl+Z undoes a move.
Questions
Is 2 suits much harder than 1 suit?
Yes. Only cards of the same suit move together, so you'll need to sort out mixed runs. It's a good next step after 1 suit.
Why can't I deal a new row?
You can't deal a new row while a column is empty. Put any card or run into the empty column first.
