How to play Solitaire
Move every card onto the four foundations, building each suit up from Ace to King.
- In the seven piles, place cards in descending order, alternating red and black (a red 6 goes on a black 7).
- You can move a whole run of face-up cards together. When you move the last face-up card off a pile, the card underneath turns over.
- Only a King, or a run that starts with a King, can go into an empty pile.
- Tap the stock to turn over one card. When the stock runs out, tap it again to turn the waste back over. There is no limit on passes.
- To move a card, tap it, then tap where it should go. You can also double-tap a card to send it to its foundation.
Undo has no limit, and safe cards move to the foundations for you. Your game is saved on this device, so you can come back to it later.
Keyboard
Arrow keys move between cards and piles. Enter or Space selects a card and places it. D draws from the stock, H shows a hint, Escape cancels a selection, and Ctrl+Z undoes a move.
Questions
Can every deal be won?
No. Some Klondike deals can't be won, even with perfect play, and you can't see the face-down cards. Daily deals can all be won: a computer solver checks each one before we publish it.
What is the difference between turn 1 and turn 3?
Turn 1 (draw 1) turns one card from the stock at a time, and every card is playable as it comes up. Turn 3 (draw 3, or 3 card) turns three, and you can only play the top one. That makes the game harder.
